Experience audit, interface redesign, further ideas
Challenge:
Redesign two pages of the nutrition tracking platform: Recipe blog List dietitians
Duration:
This study was made for a job interview 6 hours on-site case study
Recipe blog before:
Audit:
We can encounter two types of visitors on this page 1) Those who are looking for the recipe of the dish in their mind (Artichoke with olive oil). 2) Users who don’t know what to cook and chose by browsing.
Second type (explorers) may be more common, since person who knows what to cook may Google it first. Still keeping the search function at the top, I aimed to show suggestions both contextually and clearly present the two categories. Cusines and types (you can see on the right hand side on the original version) on the page for undecided people. I aimed to facilitate the preferences of users who do not have an idea.

Ideas:
Can detail pages of recipes have an interactive structure? Ingredient list can be downloaded / checkbox for ingredients
More interaction We usually come across chatbots in financial sector. But I think it can be really useful for a site that provides lifestyle contents as a service. Bot can make suggestions by asking questions on cooking time, health level, meat choice. Previous meals can be considered in suggestions for logged in users -> (Try something different).
List dietitians before:
Audit:
There is a food brand under the roof of platform. This brand is shown under a separate header. By combining two headers, this area can gain a simpler appearance.
People would want to search for a dietitian they heard. By separating the dietitian search feature from the filters and placing it in the middle, we can make it more visible.
Reviews are crucial for comparison. Reviews can’t be seen at the first sight.
In Turkish, CTA on the right says “Consulting Packages” Buttons explaining what action to take are more user friendly. My suggestion is “Get Appointment”

Ideas:
View CV There is already a profile page but still most of the details are at the front. Only 32 % of dietitians in the platform work in-person. We can remove online/in-person information and show it it the profile.
